NOW TAKING CHRISTMAS ORDERS!!
I began sewing and quilting soon after I retired, having a career in paint sales for over 30 years. I started making quilts in 2010 and have loved the process of piecing, cutting, designing and finishing the projects! But the best part of all is giving it to someone you love!
I purchased a long arm in 2015 (a big one) and that was the best decision I’ve made yet! Now I can make my own quilts from start to finish. This lead me to my next new career, quilting for other people.
So far I have quilted over 30 quilts and projects for friends and family to practice perfection. I especially like to use pantograghs for neat and quick all-over designs. I love to go on shop hop bus trips or car pool with friends to see the country and new ideas displayed in all of the quilt shops.
My second trip to Paducah, Ky I stayed 3 days with a group of friends to attend the spring quilt show in 2017. It was there that I bought my first embroidery machine, my little Babylock. That was my Destiny, I’m sure of it!
Before and after retirement I joined three quilt clubs, the first in Oskaloosa, KS, the second in Lawrence and finally MoKan in Overland Park, KS but I can’t stop there. Overbrook, KS has a group of ladies that embroider. I realize now how much wealth of knowledge there is to gain from the members of these groups and guilds. The community help from the work of these hands is truly amazing! I am delighted to be a part of it all.
So see how things work? How did I know where my life would take me? I thought I would be gardening, canning, fishing and golfing in my retirement but no, that’s not enough, I’ll be busy with my quilting passions.

QUILTS OF VALOR
We Support Our Veterans. Ask about our "Quilts Of Valor" ... we donate a portion of every QOV quilt we sell to The Wounded Warrior Project (or to the veteran's charity of your choice)
This is made from a quilt top donated by Sheryl Lux a quilter and member of the Kaw Valley Quilt Guild in Lawrence, Ks. She generously donated the top to “the couch“ for quilting and binding by whomever could do that. A good friend of mine picked it up and donated the backing fabric and the batting.
I quilted it on an very used Gammill

This quilt was donated to the VA hospital in Topeka Ks.
We have donated this quilt to the Topeka Kansas VA Hospital! There it will be on display for the volunteer services committee to choose its destination.
I’m proud to belong to such giving groups of ladies and their talents! Thanks to the quilt maker and to Kathy Foster who made this happen! God Bless America!
